HISTORY OF EXTRA MILE
It all started with a marathon, an after-party, and a very good cause.
Back in 2019, a member of Runhead kindly ran the London Marathon in aid of Westminster House Youth Club. Since then, the youth club has been one of the main charities for which Runhead raises money. The after-party was held at Brew By Numbers Peckham Taproom, with every pint raising money for the charity. Towards the end of the night, after one too many beers, it was agreed that the next year, a unique beer would be brewed for the same event.
Roll on March 2020. A different event (London Big Half) and a different brewery (Brick Brewery) joined forces to brew the 'Extra Mile' beer, raising vital funds for Westminster House Youth Club.
Since the success of Extra Mile, many things have changed, and Westminster House, like many, is coping with the lingering effects of COVID and the current state of affairs today.
So, Runhead is at it again with the next version of 'Extra Mile'. This time, partnering with Bianca Road Brew Co to continue its mission to raise funds, provide support, and raise awareness for Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead.
This bright and invigorating Session IPA will hit the shelves this Sunday (21st April 2024) at Bianca Road's Brewery Taproom on Enid Street, Bermondsey (SE16). The beer is also available to wholesale customers.
